Savannah has long been full of art, music, and creative energy, yet it lacks a designated district where it can all come together. This project addresses that gap through the creation of a conceptual brand identity for the Savannah Arts District, a unifying system designed to give the city’s creative community a clear presence and sense of place.
The identity supports a proposed arts district where galleries, live performances, festivals, theater, and music coexist and influence one another. Inspired by Savannah’s original city plan by General James Oglethorpe, the logo draws from the city’s iconic squares and grid, representing structure, connection, and community.
The visual system is open, expressive, and energetic, using bold typography and confident messaging to reflect the rhythm of the city. At its core, this brand identity brings Savannah’s creative culture into focus, offering a cohesive voice and visual home for the arts to thrive.
