SECONDARY RESEARCH

PRIMARY RESEARCH

Nearly three in five people will only practice self-care if they feel stressed. More than seven in 10  like to use self-care as a reward after a long, tough week. It is not seen as an everyday routine.

Through our interviews and survey responses, we realized that…

1.‎ There still is a stigma about mental health, especially depending on age group.

2. There is a lack of knowledge on what self-care really is.
3. In a world where hustling and being “booked and ‎‎‎busy” are the trend, people don’t feel like there is much incentive to take time for themselves.

Opportunity Area

Through affinity mapping, we consolidated our key insights and formed HMW statements.

How might we provide a self-care program based on your own specific needs?

How might we encourage users to learn more about themselves and want to take care of themselves more?

How might we provide a more comfortable environment for mental health topics to be discussed?

USER PERSONAS

How Might We develop an app that is centered around personalized self-care and continuous positive development?

Prototyping & Testing

We listed different features and functions, and implemented card sorting to help evaluate information architecture.

Based on the card sorting exercises, we developed a flow chart and applied it to 2 of the 3 personas created.
